Kristen is a licensed massage therapist. She is nationally certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Kristen received her training at the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida. This 820 hour program provided proficiency in neuromuscular therapy, connective tissue therapy and sports massage.
Kristen opened her massage practice in Savannah in 1998. Every year she increases her knowledge base by learning new techniques and keeping abreast of current research and new developments in the field.
In addition Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University.
Alicia Arocho graduated from the Savannah School of Massage Therapy. She is a Georgia certified, licensed and insured massage therapist specializing in therapeutic massage and neuromuscular therapy.
Alicia is also proficient in swedish massage, deep tissue, pre-natal massage, sports massage, trigger point therapy, massage for seniors and aromatherapy.
Some issues Alicia commonly addresses with her clients are; headaches, muscle tension and pain, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, tendonitis and of course those in need of general relaxation. She caters each session to the client’s specific needs, often incorporating several techniques to ensure a truly personal massage.
Jan is certified by the American Academy of Reflexology to work on hands, feet and ears. She also trained with Lone Sorensen of Barcelona, Spain to become certified in the Sorensensistem of Facial Reflexology and was the first Sorensen certified Face Reflexologist in Georgia.
The newest tool Jan is using is the CYMA AMI750 ~ A sound resonance device (Class 1 FDA approved device) known as an acoustic massager that emits relaxing, audible tones that decrease stress and support the body’s return to balance. (Cymatherapy was developed by the British Osteopath, Dr. Peter Guy Manners. Over 50 years of clinical applications, research and development have culminated in the high quality cymatic instruments now manufactured in America by Cyma Technologies). Combining face reflexology with the sound resonance device provides a profoundly deep relaxation that helps to reduce stress and that supports and enhances the immune system.
Reflexology provides relief from a wide variety of health issues. It relieves stress, strengthens the immune system, and improves overall health allowing Jan's clients to lead fuller, more productive lives.
Jan is also the reflexologist at Andersen Cancer Institute (Memorial University Medical Center) in Savannah, GA and an active member of their Integrative Health Planning Committee. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher and offers workshops and classes on a variety of topics from Meditation to journaling and gratitude as well as certifications in Reiki and in Basic Face Reflexology.
